Coast and Vines about us Church history Brandon

Coast and Vines Church began in June 2006 and was formally commissioned and welcomed in as a member of Bethesda Ministries International (BMI) in February of 2007.

Rod and Alice Dowie who are the current senior pastors planted the church. Since it’s inception Coast and Vines Church had met in various venues but has had a permanent home at 12-14 Aldinga Road Willunga since June 2010.

In 2012 the church transitioned with several other BMI churches to be a part of the newly formed Acts 2 Alliance (A2A) network.

A2A is an international movement of churches based out of Australia: Churches in this movement are dynamic and missional in nature, committed to grow and live out the mandate of bringing Gods life giving purposes and blessings to the communities around them.

Coast and Vines Church has strong relationships with a number of other assemblies in the A2A network. We also enjoy fellowship and connection with churches and church leaders from other movements both in Australia and overseas. (see ‘our friends’ for more details)

From the outset Coast and Vines Church has had a call to be a place of restoration. Restoring people to God and to one another, restoring Godly life patterns, and restoring community to bring transformation to regions.

Coast and Vines Church is named after the distinctives of the district in which it is founded.

The Willunga McLaren Vale region is a premium wine producing area and vineyards surround the township of Willunga itself. These vines run almost to the coast that is only 10kms away. The Fleurieu Coast is noted for its pristine waters and beautiful beaches.

Coast and Vines is a vibrant community of faith committed to share the love, grace and power of Jesus in our region and beyond.
